MY HUSBAND WOULD BECOME ATTACHED TO ME

Ref: Genesis 29:34

“And she conceived again, and bare a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons: therefore was his name called Levi.”

This is Leah's declaration after having the 3rd son, she longed for the affection of the husband, she longed to be joined to the husband and receive his full attention. We all want to receive the love of our Lord but we need to have the 3 sons (Ruben, Simeon and Levi).

Referring to Isaiah 54:5

“For thy Maker is thine husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called”

The affection of the husband brings deliverance, blessing, power, anointing etc. But before you receive it, you need the 3 sons.

Leah only wanted to be attached to her husband. But to be attached to someone requires the act of being released from someone else, you cannot and should not be married to 2 husbands.

The attachment here is therefore “deliverance"

But what does these 3 sons means?!

The 3 sons here are:

•Ruben-Eyes-Genesis29:32

“It is because the LORD has seen my misery”

•Simeon-Ears-Genesis 29:33

“Because the LORD heard that I am not loved”

•Levi-Heart-Genesis 29:34

“Now this time will my husband be joined unto me, because I have born him three sons”

After having the 3 sons, Leah said ” Now will I praise the LORD"

Now she can praise, worship as she has been delivered.

Worship also speaks of deliverance.

David said in

Psalm 137:4(How shall we sing The LORD’s song in a strange land?), there is no worship in bondage, the children of Israel could not worship in Egypt.

Let’s discuss the sons in depth.

•Reuben-(eyes)

In the new testament, we see someone who longed to have eyes and was ready to pay the price,

in Mark 10:46-50, we are introduced to Bartimaeus, a blind man who understand that having Simeon(ears) was not enough, but Ruben(eyes) was needed to have a complete deliverance.

Listen to Jesus in Mark 15:14"Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch".

The blind leading the blind and the consequence is falling in the ditch. Spiritual blindness is a major barrier to being attached to the husband.

Jesus continue in 

Matthew 6:22-24

"The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!"

You need Ruben(eyes) in your life. Do not give your eyes to bad images or movies as this will influence your whole body.

My prayer today is that your spiritual and physical eyes be opened in Jesus’s name and may the light shines in all your endeavours in Jesus name!

•Simeon (ears)

Looking again at Bartimaeus, we realise in Mark 10:47

“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me".

Because Bartimaeus heard, he was able to call on Jesus. Bartimaeus could not recover sight without first hearing.

Something happened when Jesus was being arrested in  Luke 22:50-51

” And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear."

And Jesus answered and said, “Suffer ye thus far”. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

Jesus was not happy that the ears should be given to the ground but be restored to the body.

So Jesus ordered Peter to return the sword in its rightful place, this is very prophetic.

Let us look at Proverbs 20:12

"The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, The LORD hath made even both of them".

God is the giver of both eyes and ears as a direct road to the heart,

Matthew 13:15

"For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear, and they have closed their eyes— so their eyes cannot see, and their ears cannot hear, and their hearts cannot understand, and they cannot turn to me and let me heal them."

Therefore the LORD cannot heal because of the lack of hearing.

Beloved, do not give your ears to gossips, evil sounds, bad teachings as this will take your far from God.

•Levi-(the heart)

After having Ruben ( eyes) and Simeon ( ears) then she can be joined at heart with the husband, then the deliverance is complete.

The lack of hearing and seeing lead to a hardened heart and therefore missing out on healing, deliverance etc.

Bartimaeus knew that if Christ heard him, his situation will change and this shows that Bartimaeus had a heart that believed but he didn’t have eyes.

He had the heart and the hearing but not the eyes. Bartimaeus needed to have the 3 sons to have total deliverance, that is why no one could stop him from crying out loud to Jesus.

God go further and clarify for us in

Isaiah 6:10

"Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed."

Israel needed the hearing, the seeing and the heart to be transformed in order to receive healing.

Beloved even in the physical, do not destroy your eyes or ears. Do not give your eyes to evil images or give your ears to evil music, gossips, bad teaching as this will destroy your heart. Faith depends on you hearing the word of Christ, blocked ears will lead to limited faith.

My prayer today is that your eyes, ears and heart should be sound and anointed  in Jesus’s name.
