Song of Hannah

In one stroke of the pen and deep in her gratitude, Hannah wrote her song.

Her song is a result of her many years of suffering, deception, mockery and also the miraculous-swift resolution from God.

Therefore she concludes that "God is in control" and knowing this, she "rejoices".

Your past:

• Might find you in a difficult situation, maybe you have been unfulfilled in different capacities.

• Could have been times the Lord took you to a different dimension in your spirituality, family etc

• Or you are still waiting on the promises of the Lord to be made manifest in your life.

Hannah through her testimony wants you to remember that "God is still on the throne", He's the same yesterday, today and forever more.He is still able to divide every red sea in the wilderness and more…

Her song is not just a testimony of what God has done in her life but of how God operates in all lives, and also an encouragement for all humanity.

As a reminder, Hannah was barren, her husband’s second wife, Peninnah, often provoked her to tears because of this.

But when she cried out to God for a son that she could dedicate to Him, God answered her prayer and gave her Samuel. She fulfilled her vow by dedicating Samuel to the service of the Lord.

And now, overcome by emotion at God’s gracious dealings with her, she writes this testimony and she shout, “My heart rejoices in God!”

I pray that everything in your life should rejoice in God. Like the way God turned Hannah’s mourning into joy, I command every stubborn situation in your to change in Jesus name!

____________

"Hannah raises 2 important points:

• There is no one like God.

• No one rescues like God

These statements were a livid reality to Hannah, she knew that her situation required a supernatural intervention she writes:

“My heart rejoices in the LORD; in the LORD my horn is lifted high. My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance.” (1 Samuel 2:1)

The term “horn” is an interesting one in the Bible as it symbolises strength.

Hannah doesn’t claim any strength of her own here, she says, “In the Lord, my horn is lifted high.”God is the one who gives us strength when we are weak. God is the one who renews our strength when we are weary.

My prayer is that you won't be weak before your enemies, that you will go from strength to strength.

Hannah continues and say "my mouth boasts over my enemies" ,you might think that she is only referring to Peninnah as her enemy although Peninnah was pretty cruel to her, mocking her barrenness over a long period but Hannah knew very well that her enemy was barrenness itself.

She understood that barrenness was a great source of her sorrow and needed to be defeated.

My prayer is that you find and destroy the real source of your struggle and I declare as an oracle of God that :

• You will delight in your deliverance

• Your weakness are turned into strength

• You will overcome your enemies

• Your sorrow will turned into gladness in Jesus name!

____________

Hannah continue in her eloge:

“There is no one holy like the LORD; there is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.” (1 Samuel 2:2)

Without question, God is holy. The holiness of God means first of all His separateness, He is separated from sin, corruption, uncleanness etc. He is above all things; He is before all things; He is sovereign over all.

Furthermore, God’s holiness also refers to his righteousness and purity. As He is, so must we be in our daily lives(1 John 4:17).

Having a holy, trustworthy God in control of the universe is so reassuring rather than the one that comes to steal, destroy and kill(John 10:10)

Beloved,

There is no one holy like our Lord. He is

• Majestic.

• All powerful,

• All knowing,

• Everywhere present.

• God Almighty,

• Perfect in power, love and purity

We ought to be like Him, holiness attracts blessings.

I declare that every traps of temptation to draw you into sin that the enemy has prepared for you must fail in Jesus's name.

Jesus has overcome every temptation so that we will not fall ( 1 corinthians 10:13)

Go and live a holy life in Jesus's name.

____________

Now, Hannah wants to remind us that no one protects like God so she puts it in this way:

“There is no Rock like our God.”

Beloved, the rock is a place of safety, refuge, stability etc. It is indeed the solid place to rest your feet and be sure of not sinking with the weight that life brings.

You may have looked at other things in life as your refuge or even safety net but there is no safer place than the hands of God.

This is clearly referred to in Psalm 20:7-8

"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: But we are risen, and stand upright."

Beloved, no matter what trials you may be going through today, when God is your Rock, you are safe, you are protected. Your job is not a safety net, your marriage either, nor your house, the true protection is in Jesus Christ. In Him, we are safe from spiritual and physical attack. Stability in in Jesus alone.

I declare as the oracle of God that you, your family, your belongings should not fall foul in the hands of the enemy in Jesus name.
